Maratea

For decades, Maratea has distinguished itself world-wide for its ceaseless defence of the environment and marine life, which is why the municipality has sponsored the purchase of three Sea-Bins for the cleaning of the water in the port.

Due to its particular historical, artistic and cultural heritage – again all meticulously preserved – with its Norman, Angevin, Aragonese, Arab and Spanish influences, and for its commitment to the preservation of the environment, in 2015 Maratea was classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

La Basilicata

Basilicata has a territory rich in places and attractions of all kinds, despite its size it contains a vast heritage of history, culture and folklore.

Basilicata also means cinema, many are in fact the directors who have chosen our region as a backdrop for their works: Pasolini and Mel Gibson shot colossal films in Matera such as “Il Vangelo secondo Matteo” and “The Passion” while Salvatores chose the fields of Vulture to set the film “Io non ho paura”.

Hotel Santavenere

The hotel offers its customers 40 rooms and large common areas spread over more than 3000 covered square meters.

It has a large outdoor park of about 10 hectares that offers areas of great privacy to anyone who needs it, to enjoy their stay in maximum relax.
